dc.descriptionThe Holy See and the Racial Laws: the Role of Pius XI. This study is focused on the ideological and philosophical development which led to the generation and evolution of Nazi discrimination. Nietzsche philosophy, specifically the idea of Übermensch, paved the way for distortions which reflect the racial ideology at the base of later Nazism. The paper analyses the reaction of the Holy See to the policy of the Italian National Fascist Party. REZUMAT: Sfântul Scaun şi legile rasiale: rolul lui Pius XI. Studiul de faţă se concentrează pe evoluţia ideologiei şi filosofiei care au dus la apariţia şi dezvoltarea discriminării naziste. Filosofia lui Nietzsche, mai cu seamă ideea deÜbermensch, a deschis calea derapajelor ideologiei rasiale care au stat la baza nazismului. Articolul tratează deopotrivă reacţiile Sfântului Scaun în raport cu politica şi iniţiativele legislative din timpul regimului fascist italian.
