It is certain that any of the patristic researches regarding the thought of St. Maximus the Confessor must explore the philosophical, biblical and patristic roots of the Maximian Corpus. This is the main purposes of the present article: to explore the theological thinking of Maximus, throughout his writings, which were drafted between 628-640. It is useful for our research to highlight the historical process of the development of his anthropological perspective, in order to better understand the concept of gnome (γνώμη). Dimensiunea gnomică a ființei umane în gândirea lui Maxim Mărturisitorul. Scrierile dintre anii 628-640. Reprezintă o certitudine faptul că oricare dintre cercetările patristice cu privire la gândirea Sf. Maxim Mărturisi­torul trebuie să exploreze rădăcinile filosofice, biblice și patristice ale Corpus-ului Maximian. Acesta ar putea constitui motivul central al prezentului articol: explorarea gândirii filosofice, biblice și teologice a lui Maxim, prin intermediul textelor sale, așa cum au fost redactate în intervalul 628-640. Pe parcursul cercetării noastre, este util să evidențiem procesul istoric ce stă în spatele evoluției conceptuale a Mărturisitorului, pentru o mai profundă înțelegere a lui gnome (γνώμη).
