| dc.description | Dr. Dávid István 1949. november 1-én született Székelyudvarhelyen. Apai ágon ősi erdélyi, magyar református család leszármazottja. Édesapja dr. Dávid Gyula református lelkész, teológiai tanár volt, aki 1958-ban Kolozsvár–Farkas utcai lelkipásztor lett, betöltötte a Kolozsvári Protestáns Teológiai Intézet rektori tisztségét is, majd az erdélyi egyházkerület püspökhelyettesévé választották. A román kommunista diktatúra nem engedte, hogy törvényes megválasztása után Erdély református püspöke legyen, ezért Dávid Gyulát hívták Erdély koronázatlan püspökének. Anyai ágon (Imre család) alföldi, hódmezővásárhelyi származású, felmenői között híres lelkipásztorok és pedagógusok találhatók. | en-US |
