dc.descriptionEdward Sapir and Benjamin Lee Whorf: perspectives and concepts. The paper analyses some aspects of the linguistic theory of Sapir and Whorf and their hypothesis on the influence of language on our perception and idea of the world and reality. The paper highlights the relationship between the analysis of these two linguists and the reflection on the language from Wilhelm von Humboldt to Cassirer and the new anthropological theories of Boas. Rezumat. Edward Sapir și Benjamin Lee Whorf: perspective și concepte. Analizăm anumite aspect ale gândirii lingvistice specific lui Sapir și Whorf, precum și ipoteyele lor privitoare la influența asupra modului nostru de a percepe realitatea. Punem în evidență raportul dintre reflecția celor doi lingviști și reflecția lingvistică ce înainteayă de la Wilhelm von Humboldt până la Cassirer și ajunge la noile teorii antropologice datorate lui Boas.
