Benvenuto Cellini (Florence 1500-1571) is a renowned artist and writer, famous for the sculptural representation of Perseu, a statue depicted in Piazza della Signoria, Florence. He was invited to the court of King Francis 1st, just like Leonardo, Il Rosso, or Il Primatice. The purpose of this paper is to study the relationship between the Florentine artist with his generous host, the King of France, and to show how his memoirs, La Vita (1558-1567), pay tribute to King Francis 1st and depict the difficult situation in which France was at the time. Rezumat. Benvenuto Cellini (Florence 1500-1571) și regele Franței. Benvenuto Cellini (Florența 1500-1571) este un artist și un scriitor renumit, celebru prin reprezentarea sculpturală a lui Perseu, statuie expusă în Piazza della Signoria din Florența. La fel ca Leonardo da Vinci, Rosso sau Primaticcio, el este invitat la curtea lui Francisc I. Obiectivul nostru este cel de a studia relațiile Florentinului cu generoasa sa gazdă rege al Franței, și de a arăta cum memoriile sale, cuprinse în La Vita (1558-1567), sunt, pe de o parte, un omagiu adus regelui Franței, iar pe de altă parte: o descriere a dificultăților Franței contemporane lui.
