Lexical and Grammatical Continuities and Discontinuities in the Romanian and Latin Proverbs. In our paper, we analyse some Romanian and Latin proverbs recorded in a lexicographical masterwork of the Transylvanian School, such as The Lexicon of Buda (1825). Based on this inventory, our approach will investigate from a lexical and morphosyntactic perspective the internal structure of proverbs, highlighting the lexical and grammatical continuities and discontinuities between two languages and their ancient origin.

REZUMAT. Continuităţi şi discontinuităţi lexicale şi gramaticale în proverbele româneşti şi latineşti. În studiul nostru, discutăm proverbele româneşti şi latineşti consemnate într-o operă lexicografică de excepţie a Şcolii Ardelene, şi anume Lexiconul de la Buda (1825). Bazată pe acest corpus, cercetarea noastră va examina dintr-o perspectivă lexicală şi morfosintactică structura internă a proverbelor, evidenţiind continuităţile şi discontinuităţile lexicale şi morfosintactice reperabile între cele două limbi, dar şi originea lor veche.
