dc.descriptionGeo Goidaci was born in 14th of March 1947, in Northern Transylvania (Iojib, Satu-Mare). He graduated The Fine Arts High-school of Cluj, and also, the sculpture department of the Institute of Fine Arts “Ion Andreescu” from the same town. After he had graduated in 1972, he was given the job as a sculpture professor at the Fine Arts High-school of Timişoara. He became part of the Union of Professional Artists in 1981. He lives in Germany since 1984, in Munich, where he is a sculptor, freelance artist and professor. In the first period of his life there, he has worked as a restorer (the antique, Greek-Roman sculpture), around Glyptotheka of Munich. This period will be found in his art (the FRAGMENTS cycle). Along the sculpture, he is passionate about graphics, photo, digital art, and … music. He is one of the greatest Romanian sculptors alive; he has a very impressive and vast artistic activity. In this interview, we try to come close to the artist Geo Goidaci, taking in his entire personality, address­ing his creative style, his conception about art and the fusion of the arts in his activity and his life.en-US
