The objective of this study is to provide insight into the various advantages of engaging in reflective journaling in the context of music performance. Specifically, it seeks to emphasize the potential of reflective journaling to improve musicians’ understanding of their performance process, strengthen their self-awareness, and boost their overall set of skills. Through the utilization of a first-person standpoint, the researcher-singer explores the profound influence of reflexive practices, underscoring their effect on the behaviors, thoughts, values, and identity of a performer.
